"Becoming Marilyn & Becoming Elvis" at FotoNostrum

MUUS Collection is proud to announce a double exhibition of works by André de Dienes and Alfred Wertheimer in collaboration with FotoNostrum in Barcelona, Spain. Becoming Marilyn & Becoming Elvis explores the rise to stardom of Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, as documented by André de Dienes and Alfred Wertheimer respectively, the two photographers who became intimately acquainted with the stars when they were on the cusp of fame.

Becoming Marilyn & Becoming Elvis demonstrates the cultural impact of the two stars through photographs documenting Marilyn’s life in the spotlight from her earliest modeling shoots onward and photos of Elvis at the tender age of 21, preparing for the show that would change his career forever. The exhibition comprises nearly one hundred photographs by the two artists, and runs from January 26 to March 24, 2024.
